About Dr. Alex

Hi,

I'm Dr. Alex, and I know what it's like to be told your body can't do what you love. Growing up as a competitive athlete, I dealt with my share of injuries. I wore a back brace that kept me from doing any activity. I had pain that stopped me from running. And at one point, I was even told, "Never squat again- it's not worth the pain."

But that advice didn't sit right with me- and luckily I didn't listen.

With the support of some incredible practitioners, a lot of rehab, and discovering Crossfit, I rebuilt my strength, movement, and mindset. Eight years later, I squat 250 lbs pain free. I run without pain. I don't just manage my hip and low back pain, I've overcome it.

That journey changed everything for me.

It showed me how powerful movement and rehab can be- not just for recovery but for reclaiming your life. And it made me realize that too many people are being told to avoid movement, when the right kind of movement is actually the way forward.

That's why I became a chiropractor. But not the kind that you might be used to.

My care goes beyond quick adjustments. I spend time with you- every session is at least 30 minutes- to get to the root of what's going on. We combine manual therapy with targeted rehab so you don't just feel better temporarily- you move better, and stay better, and know what to do if something flares up again.

I've had the privilege of working on the medical team at the World Fitness Project and treating athletes of all levels. I've competed at multiple Broomball Nationals. So when I say I get what it's like to want to preform, stay active, and move pain free- I mean it.

Now, my mission is simple:

To help athletes, active adults, and weekend warriors overcome injury, stay out of pain, and get back to what they are love- stronger than before.

Because I believe rehab shouldn't last forever. I believe you should walk away from care feeling empowered, informed, and confident in your body. And I believe that when we take ownership of our health and put in the work, incredible things happen.

Now to some of the boring stuff:

I completed my bachelor of Physical Health Education at Nipissing University (2019) and my Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (2023).

When outside of the clinic I love CrossFit, golf, broomball, baseball, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Alex's Philosophy

Every Practitioner has their own style- here's what mine looks like.

I take time to listen, assess, and get to the root of what's causing your pain or holding you back. My appointments are at least 30 minutes long so we can dive deeper into how your body moves, where it's compensating, and how we can fix it together.

Rather than relying on adjustments alone, I blend hands on care with movement based rehab to create real, lasting change. You'll leave each session not only feeling better, but with a clear plan, targeted exercises, and tools to stay out of pain, even if the symptoms pop up later.

My goal is to provide you with the tools to give you long term results. We will deep dive into your biomechanics and the way you move to help correct any compensation patterns, lack of mobility, and movement deficits.

This approach gives you more ownership of your recovery, helps prevent reinjury, and supports your long term goals, whether that's hiking pain free, lifting stronger, or getting back in the game.
